Kari works perfect. We call it Brown Bag which means Bring whatever you want to eat. Supplying drinks makes it a little easier... but that can be self organizing as well. Ive done this many times and no problem. But of course it only really works when all or most of the participants are local. In most cases I was working with a school, and everybody lived close by. In addition, bringing your lunch to school was an old tradition.

I would like to hear your stories when you or the client / sponsor team has arrange a potluck from the participants to feed the horde in the Open Space. It has been suggested by a friend of mine that by this mean, more people can attend when they do not have to pay for the catering services, and it becomes more dynamic when we do not know how many will attend. I would like to suggest this to a client, but first i would like to turn to my community of dear Open Space people for the experience of the ages. in best regards with the breeze from Iceland Kári
