Congratulations, Jasmina!

Take a look at this woman's resume' available online. VP of Higher Education Reform using Open Space, Kanban, Scrum, wow! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1bKsMSUdLbF5FDtpV54SGMMgsVp5tAqb1ip7kf5pdeFA.

She's been doing amazing things in higher education, only some of which is documented in this paper, "Going Agile: Agile Methodologies in the Education of Global Citizens". http://goo.gl/m4WB5H.

And she's a competitive ice skater! And she's hosting the WOSonOS in Serbia in 2014. A place to be next year!

This "hot of the press", happening right now the the University of Belgrade, in Serbia, future host location for WOSonOS. Truly exciting news!

Jasmina Nikolic receives an international "Open Access" award for her work in Education and Research in Serbia.Accorded the esteemed title of Archont.

Open Access Week 2013 <http://www.openaccessweek.org/> is a global event, now in its 7th year, that promotes open access as a new norm in scholarship and research.

This year's theme is "Open Access: Redefining Impact" and a diverse range of events are happening around the world this week (October 21 and 27).

Open access (OA) -- free, immediate, online access to the results of scholarly research, and the right to use and re-use those results as you need -- has the power to transform the way research and scientific inquiry are conducted. It has direct and widespread implications for academia, medicine, science, industry, and for society as a whole.

This is an opportunity for the academic and research community to continue to learn about the potential benefits of open access, to share what they've learnt with colleagues, and to help inspire wider participation.

Jasmina and an army of students, faculty and others are truly busting the gates, doing some fabulous education reform work in Serbia and also inviting the same with other higher education institutions in the European Union. I had the opportunity to see some of this first hand last month. Wonderful to see the opening of space through Open Space and the execution of work happening with Kanban and Scrum that Jasmina has been inviting. So much positive and creative energy in a spirit of shared leadership -- passion and responsibility.

Heard about this yesterday and so much fun to be part of this breaking news story with Jasmina's colleague Jelena Kamaric sending me live photo. Posted it just now on Open Space Technology Facebook.

Congrads Jas,

Suzanne
