… thanx Carms! the main language during open space and introduction was german. roughly ten refugees were expected. one refugee spoke german, the others spoke very fine english but missed the introduction for coming a little late … therefor the interpreter was not needed and participated as everyone else. nevertheless, since arabic-speaking participants were expected the idea was to have a "whisper-interpretation" during the introduction and a "self-organised interpretation on demand" during the sessions. i experienced that this usually works quite well. i used the arabic translations mainly for the briefing with the interpreter prior to the event focusing on the content of the introduction, i came to understand that a word-by-word translation of the introduction can get quite "itchy". thank you once again! yaari
