As an experienced political actor, I can say this is, indeed, a higher-integrity approach than sitting out a major vote. Those who actually voted Nader buoyed the overall % Bush needed to "win" in 2000. By contrast: those who Only abstain are often more useful (esp. to the GOP) than those who vote for the opponent!
