here is little background then 3 questions reporting today from the 3 day "open
space" of 1500 youth movementcalled rootscamp -
who comesyouth from all over the USA to washington dc from network that went
bust after coordinating 10 annual rootcamps out of washington dc and is now
headquartered in wisconsin
- who didnt come - not many from the half of the nation who voted trump
i welcome replies to question on this list if you think relevant or personally
(eg if you want more context, rootscamp is hard to decribe on one email) to
[email protected]
1  have you been to rootscamp? is this the best largest scale annual event in
usa of the sort harrison owen intended youth to empower in these 2010s? love to
know of other candidates at the 1000+ participant level; equally if you are in
another country do you have a nomination of your favorite 1000+ annual summit
in os format that is led mainly by under 30s
2 questions aloud - there are quite a few technologists in this space but they
are the ones least likely to follow harrison's method whereas there are quite a
few people with deeply social problems but they seem to go round in groups at
risk of talking to themselves too much - is this an issue that you have come
across in "large" open spaces- can anything be done?
3 and this is a very selfish question - i am looking for a framework used after
an open space that kept an ecosystems of 1000 or at least a few hundred
movements together in terms of what was the smart contract (or action project)
that each movement uses to stay in existence and how open to partnering with
the whole is it over time
- if you have any such format thats working   - well as they say in the east
the leader cant change until the people change- and my friends in the east are
quite clear - they will have one go at helping train trump or they will leave
usa to bowl alone on its climate and other futures- so the world may need quite
a lot of interfacing open spaces if we are to turn the usa into a positive
contributor to sustainability
