In my university a new unit it being launched called 'Active Citizenship'. We are opening space right at the beginning to garner ideas on both content and process. It's my personal hope that the unit might end up helping students to think and practice OST (and associated thinking around emergence, complexity, conflict and change). These students (18 year olds), are the first generation which has grown up entirely in the interconnected world of the internet and instant communications - they will be, and already are, part of a new way of being citizens of the world.
