Dear friends and colleagues, Chris Weaver, active in this OST community, was also active and beloved in our Genuine Contact community. In the Genuine Contact community, we are holding two talking circles so that we can do an online memorial for Chris Weaver. Why two? We couldn't get one common date that worked for all of us who want to attend.
Our Genuine Contact community invites those of you who wish to participate with us in a talking circle about Chris Weaver. The online platform is Blackboard Collaborate. If you would like to attend one or even both circles please email Rachel Bolton at [email protected] and she will make sure you have the information including the link for joining. Rachel suggests: In preparation for our time together in this celebration of life, please: - Choose an object that speaks to you about Chris and bring it to our gathering. - Consider whether you would like to offer a contribution to the celebration of life beyond the stories we will share. This could be a poem, a song, a piece of art, or any other tribute you wish to offer. - Prepare your space to nurture you. You may wish to light a candle, have some beautiful flowers, or other ways to bring beauty, life and nurturing into your space. - Prepare yourself to nurture you. A glass of water, mug of tea, cup of wine, or a tasty and nourishing snack can be helpful to have nearby.
