Nice video, with some things I didn't know, particularly some of the
options in the My Tracks screen.
One suggestion: when you make a waypoint, you don't mention that
you MUST tap Save or the waypoint will be forgotten (even though you
still have a balloon visible on the screen which you might think is
the waypoint you just made). I've lost quite a few waypoints I
thought I'd recorded on the trail due to that.
Another thing worth mentioning is "Use current location". In your
video you make a waypoint by long-pressing on the screen, but I
more often want to save my current location, and doing that takes a
lot of taps, uses two different menus and isn't that easy to discover:
- Tap blue circle at bottom right
(otherwise "current location" will be the center of OsmAnd's
screen, not my current GPS location)
- Lower left Menu button
- "Use current location"
- Lower right three-dot Menu button
- Scroll down in menu to
- "Add GPX waypoint"
- Edit the waypoint name
- Save
- Back-arrow to get rid of of cruft at bottom of screen
Or is there an easier way?
