I usually download OSMAND map updates on the PC from the rawindexes web page at http://download.osmand.net/rawindexes/ and then copy to the phone rather than downloading through the app on the phone. Two reasons:
1. The D/L runs much faster, like five or six times faster 2. Downloads done on the phone bomb out if the phone goes into screen save during the D/L, and have to be restarted again from the beginning However, none of the November map updates have made it to the rawindexes web page yet - all the map files there are still showing a date of 1st October, even though we're almost half way through November.
