@A Thompson I tried it, and it worked: that's a nice addition for getting a sense of the walk when zoomed further out. I also agree with you that the touring view is the best for seeing walkways of all sorts: that's true here in California as well where we tend to have a combination of highway=track, path, or footpath. But I think the contours are clearer in Topo view. So in my perfect world, I want paths in Touring, Contours in Topo.
