I suspect a problem with the gpx route. Could you check inside the file 
(simply using text editor). Some apps will save instead of a route or track 
simply list of waypoints, and Osmand cannot cope with this - see examples

The solution is to transform the file, using for example gpsbabel 
<https://www.gpsbabel.org/htmldoc-development/filter_transform.html>.
