By "hiking route symbols" I mean the little symbols, like "yellow square"
or "red plus sign", on trees, stones, fences etc. on a hiking trail. These
can be shown together with hiking routes by osmand (proper settings
provided), but apparently only on some Android devices:

We have an LG G4 (Android 6.0) and an old Samsung GalaxyNote 1 / N7000
(running Android 7.1.2) that both show the symbols, whereas a Honor 8 and a
Huawei Mediapad M3 (Android 7.0 both) don't, in spite of identical osmand+
settings and osmand+ releases.

Btw.: It doesn't help to copy the "render" directory from the osmand
settings on the G4 to the Honor 8 and Mediapad M3.

Any idea on possible reasons for this device-dependent rendering?
