Andy I thank you for underlining Simon Poole's suggestion. I have experimented with uMap somewhat, already. I have posted on the uMap mailing list asking about the addition of sequential numerical markers that relate to the walk instructions and how to attach .urls to other markers such as the family's location. I realise this is not the forum for such questions and that I have doubled up on my original question - I did not know from where appropriate answers might come.
