So if I record a gpx trail I activate the button I have configured to be on the screen.
Later, if I press the gpx widget again I am presented with the option of saving the track or starting new segment or stop gpx logging. If I save the track I get to save and name the file immediately. If I don't save the track the next day I will find there has been a track saved with the date of when the gpx file was created.
