I have basically the same issue. With hints above the *POI symbols* get excluded from display, *but the POI names Not *(applies for both types of POIs). Sure, I get the POI names only when I zoom in to certain degree. Still it is annoying and feels almost like Google advertising. I guess it applies to all maps; I just started with Osmand and see it on the default offline map that I got (Germany_hessen_europe.obf). Is this common to all maps? Is there a trick to exclude the POI names as well from display?
