Some years ago I have read China uses a specific intentional offset of
hundreds meters in their maps to make non-Chinese GPS solutions unusable.
Is(was) it true or false ?

Hi, Let me say at the outset that I am technologically challenged! I am
travelling to China (retirement present to me) and know that I cannot use
Google maps, so have downloaded OsmAnd offline maps to my phone. However, I
am planning on changing the SIM card on arrival in China. Will the offline
maps still be on my phone, or will I need to download them again?
