The simplest way is to use GPX tracking. You can start that manually, or
set the option to automatically record during navigation (per profile). I
use both.
In that case it will show your route and a "trailing" GPX track. Also nice
to review that at home.
There are some more settings to make there: interval, distance between
points in case you have to wait "x intervals" in front of a traffic light,
accuracy in case you go through an area with limited GPX reception (a cycle
tunnel?), etc.
