Hi Paul,
you're probably someone who also uses Garmin devices for navigation and did the 
data transfer to OsmAnd as well as Garmin.
I loaded the GPX file into a separate list in BaseCamp. The list will show 2 
waypoints, a route "01 - Hendaye to Olhette" and the track "ST-E ANNE".
I basically plan the tours in BaseCamp and transfer each track individually to 
OsmAnd. No routes, only tracks. Waypoints are transferred in an extra file.
If you turn the route into a track and then transfer the tracks one by one, you 
will not have any problems.
