When you press the button to begin planning a route, along the top are the icons for the different types of routes (car, bicycle, walk, bus, etc.). At the far right of all of the icons is a vertical three dots control. Press that control and a pane opens that allows you to select the various profiles that should be listed in the horizontal rows of route profile icons.
I suspect you'll find the driving profile is set to off inside the pane that opens from the three dots on the phone.
