my personal expierence is: OSMAND needs a good CPU and is demanding on the GPU (new mobile phones have more Power than a mature Desktop PC 10 years Ago, but get very warm if used for longer periods like navigating in a car, which is also a hot enviroment) also Maps need a lot ROM storage.
This means a more modern CPU is better. especially modern in terms of a good manufacturing process like 10nm or lower. This produces less heat for the same computing tasks. Also you should prefer a phone with more than one sattelite system supported In my Car QC3 works absolute fine. Use a very good cable here!
