Emailing to [email protected] should work as far as the email
you use is the same email that is suscribed, it could take some time to
propagate the changes inside google servers, I don't know...
An alternative way is to login into your groups.google.com account(the one that
is receiving mails), go to the settings of your suscribed google groups and
disable email sending there.
