In OSMAND 3.5.x the tag REF is shown, see image [1]
In OSMAND 3.6.x and 3-7.x is not shown, see image [2]
One example is relation #7685723, but also all the other aside...
To show the rendering used:
Map style (what you want) I use Osmand
Configure map -> Routes ->
check Alpine hiking scale
and Hiking symbol overlay select Color by OSMC hiking symbol
