Looks like the gpx is good, so the problems are with the importing applications.
Maybe they have import options such as import as track, import as waypoints, disregard waypoints, disregard track? Otherwise you'll have to use a gpx-editor to fix the gpx-file before import. I heard that there are good gpx-editors online.

I use Osmand to create cycling routes, but I have a problem when I import them as .gpx files into other apps. Suppose I create a route - following roads - defined by four points. In Osmand everything looks great, but in Strava I get a route consisting of straight lines joining my four points followed by the route itself. In my bike computer app (Hammerhead Karoo 2) I just get the straight lines. Looking at the .gpx XML, Strava seems to be considering both rtept and trkpt tags as the route; Hammerhead is only considering rtept tags. Garmin Connect seems to be able to do it right.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Thanks in advance.
