Yes, the style Selection will survive OSMand version updates. Updates of 
OSMand don't changes or delete files which didn't come with the 
installation package of OSMand. But when you uninstall OSMand completely 
and install it again, you have also to install the Selection style manually 
again, because it don't comes with the OSMand package. And you have to 
update this style manually. I will publish the updates here.
