I presume that if I press the Navigation button (right arrow), and set a destination, when I press start the navigation should begin and the "Rec" icon should be showing red. - Correct?
I have the setting I referenced "on" on my driving profile, and whenever I "start" a navigation, Osmand auto-records a track at the same time.
So it should record a track for you (provided it is 'on' for the profile you are using).
