Hi,

Someone suggest buy a 6 feet USB extension and plug USB just next to antenna.
Is there a performance comparison somewhere on the web? Is there any trade off?

Thanks

6 feet of USB or 6 feet of antenna coax? I don't see it making a difference either way unless you're using 50% braid coverage bargain basement coax that's been sitting in 10 feet of water.

My dongle is on the back of my SDR machine in my rack and I've got 35 feet of RG-6 QS run up to the antenna on the roof. I can pick up everything from the local trunking system to ADS-B aircraft 200 miles away.

It's also easier to lightning protect (I live in Florida!) a run of coax than a long run of USB.
