Found something interesting, if this is what all the excitement is about. They ARE using osmocom rtlsdr.

You have to take the pro off the filename. http://nutsaboutnets-downloads.s3.amazonaws.com/Touchstone_Setup.exe You can actually use this one with the rtlsdr. There is no limitations that I could find in the 5 minutes I played with it. If you download and install the pro version it's using the same osmocom rtlsdr stuff.
