I somehow missed this conversation back in July. Did you get the tag-
based filtering worked out? The Tag Filter task was designed for
exactly this purpose - I use it to keep only pedestrian-friendly ways.

Yes, there is a --tag-filter task. So there is one other task with
filter in the name ... Oh well, there's less typing now :-)
