Since writing that blog post, I have introduced some optimisations
(mainly placing --buffer tasks at the right locations, after lots of
back and forth discussion and many helpful hints from Brett and Scott);
I have been meaning to write an update to that post but haven't done it
yet. But the basic syntax works, in any case.
