Sorry, I thought I had told people this: perhaps I didn't, its been a busy
term and a few things slipped. I do have the org.opensatnav package name now
(took months!), but it's under my google account name, which is obviously
not quite what we want (a sort of shared one seems better to me so that if
one person disappears (like I half did) the project doesn't stall).

Interestingly, mapsforge is making much progress at a better offline map
rendering library. I'm playing around with it now and it's very good -
except at lower zoom levels, where it goes very slowly :(
