Hi Hannu, First I want to thank you that I've already added lock for handle_syncstart (I didn't expect that you do it so soon, actually I intended to do it myself). There is however a small bug in handle_syncstart itself (probably a typo), PCM_ENABLE_INPUT is used in one place instead of PCM_ENABLE_OUTPUT. This patch corrects this.
