Well, as far as I understand it, the copyright stuff is not the problem, but 
the license is. By legal meaning I meant that as written, a "trade secret" 
isn't a license restriction, and probably doesn't mean anything related to 
the license. At least that's my understanding. 

Hence, the default license would be the one provided as the general COPYING, 
so the GPL version 2 only.

I believe a simple "yes it is" is enough here :)
