Switching from OSS 4.0 build1015 to 1016 + vmix reduces the hdaudio
interrupt rate from 3000/sec to 384/sec which should help with both sleep
state and throttling power management.

> Vmix needs to work in this way because starting/stopping the device 
> every time some application starts/stops makes things too complicated.

> Maybe your application should close the device when it doesn't use it.

Turns out this is more viable than I originally thought, still need to evaluate
the latencies introduced though. Closing the device may also present the
opportunity to introduce codec power management via the ALC268 Power
State verbs.
