Hi, You can edit /usr/lib/oss/conf/osscore.conf and append a line containing mixer_muted=1 to it. Then execute the following commands:
- soundoff - rm /usr/lib/oss/etc/mixer.save - soundoff After that all hdaudio volume settings should be set to low by default. You can use ossxmix to set them to proper levels. Then run the savemixer command to save the current settings as the defaults.
