Sorry for this rather stupid-feeling question, but am i right you
always need a linux-system to act as a server? I read about the
Windows-client, and if you're not a system adminstrator, it is easy to
read the FAQ and installation manual and don't understand what you're
doing wrong if you're downloading the Windows-client, do a local
install and have no idea why during installation you're being asked
about servers and keys...

So if i'm right you need a server on a Linux-box, i have 2 questions:

- could someone clear that up in the FAQ and install manual: those
seem to be written towards unix-users, so when it reads about a local
install, i think the author(s) of the pieces thought about local
unix-users

- is it possible to set-up public servers, so windows-clients can use
the HIDS anyway?

Thank you,

Raoul.
