Hi Folks,

I wrote in about two weeks ago with this problem, but I think my gpg
signature may have sent me right into people's junk folders. We are
still stuck without a working ossec 1.3 instance on Solaris 7. Has
anyone else seen this problem?

Thanks so much!

(Problem description below:)

I had a 1.2 install on Sol 7 which I thought was working, but looks like
it had been having the same problem I am now seeing with the 1.3 install
I just completed. On startup I get:

2007/08/09 12:06:26 ossec-syscheckd(1210): Queue
'/var/ossec/queue/ossec/queue' not accessible: 'Destination address
required'.
2007/08/09 12:06:26 ossec-syscheckd(1210): Queue
'/var/ossec/queue/ossec/queue' not accessible: 'Destination address
required'.
2007/08/09 12:06:30 ossec-logcollector(1210): Queue
'/var/ossec/queue/ossec/queue' not accessible: 'Destination address
required'.
2007/08/09 12:06:30 ossec-logcollector(1211): Unable to access queue:
'/var/ossec/queue/ossec/queue'. Giving up..

2007/08/09 12:06:34 ossec-syscheckd(1210): Queue
'/var/ossec/queue/ossec/queue' not accessible: 'Destination address
required'.
2007/08/09 12:06:34 ossec-syscheckd(1210): Queue
'/var/ossec/queue/ossec/queue' not accessible: 'Destination address
required'.
2007/08/09 12:06:47 ossec-syscheckd(1210): Queue
'/var/ossec/queue/ossec/queue' not accessible: 'Destination address
required'.
2007/08/09 12:06:47 ossec-syscheckd(1211): Unable to access queue:
'/var/ossec/queue/ossec/queue'. Giving up..

I've checked and there is no stale socket in the directory on startup.
I saw this reference: http://marc.info/?l=ossec-list&m=118281974201649&w=2

But that seems like a fix which worked on Sol 9, and was included before
ossec 1.3.

Is there something special I should be doing on Sol. 7?

Thanks again!
