In addition to the discussion regarding timestamps in IOS logs, it's possible to create access lists with non-numeric names. An example:

permitted tcp 1.2.3.4(36257) -> 5.6.7.8(443), 1 packet
The decoder expects "line \d+", which doesn't work for this access list.
