As others have noted, this varies depending on your circumstances. 
Anecdotally, I can say that I ran a system with about 2 dozen agents 
connected, but also analyzing about 400 local log files (it was a syslog 
server).  The hardware was something like a 2.4 Ghz dual proc with 2 
gigs of RAM (I think).  Bottom line-- it was waaaaay overpowered.  With 
what you're describing, I'm sure any modern computer would be fine. 
Fast I/O is probably the most beneficial, followed by RAM (if using a 
database backend) and CPU.
