[ossec-list] OSSEC and Splunk: Master-log stored in OSSEC?

I am going to setup OSSEC with Splunk and would like to know:

Does Splunk only point to the OSSEC-log or does Splunk store the OSSEC syslog 
output
in it't own DB/log?
