Is there an ablity to monitor remote files from a wintel agent. We have some cif shares on an EMC NAS device that we need to monitor and it doesn't seem to work. I put the unc path in the ossec.conf file and it cannot open them. I change the service to run under a domain account with access locally and to the remote share, but it hasn't helped. I am not sure if we can install the ossec agent directly on the NAS because it is proprietory and a virtual file system.
