Thank you both for the responses. I wasn't aware that I needed to add <alert_new_files>yes</ alert_new_files> on the server since the blog post did not mention it; I'm happy to report that it's working fine once I made that modification.
Thank you for this great tool, I'm considering deploying it in my network (50 servers) and I like what I'm seeing.
