I am running OSSEC 2.2 on RedHat Server
I have agents on windows and unix
Many of my agents report to the console that they are disconnected and
their status is inactive.
All of these agents were working at one time so I don't believe that there
is any connection issues.
If I look at the ossec.log on the agent I get these messages
2009/12/02 10:12:06 ossec-agent: WARN: Server unavailable. Setting lock.
2009/12/02 10:15:37 ossec-agent: INFO: Trying to connect to server
(144.122.190.48:1514).
2009/12/02 11:26:58 ossec-agent: INFO: Starting syscheck scan.
2009/12/02 11:28:38 ossec-agent: Error waiting mutex (timeout).
2009/12/02 11:29:04 ossec-agent: INFO: Trying to connect to server
(144.122.190.48:1514).
2009/12/02 11:30:23 ossec-agent: Error waiting mutex (timeout).
What steps can I take to troubleshoot this issue?
Any more information needed for assistance?
