Greetings: Today when I was setting up ossec as a server on a Xen VM for an ossec server migration learned the hard way that the server information in the agent ossec.conf is based on pure IP.
When I tried to use a fully qualified, routable, host name I was rebuffed by the system. Can the developers please consider the use of a host name for the ossec server? Please also consider writing up documentation on what needs to be changed if a server is migrated from one piece of hardware to another (especially if going from 32-bit to 64-bit where it is not just a simple rsync). Thank you.
