I have several servers with NATed ip addresses connected to the OSSEC ,
The NATing is done on the firewall/router so the OSSEC server needs to
know the public IP ( not the NAT'ed ip ) of the server .
the rest should be transparent to the server as the requests and replies
will be IP translated on the NATing device with out any actions on the
agent or server side .
you will however need to make sure that the firewall allows the required
ports to pass information and not blocked in any stage .
