Hello, I now have a agent running under my server. I am able to get reports from the agent. This is what comes up
OSSEC HIDS Notification. 2010 Jun 28 10:51:46 Received From: (Michael) xxx.xx.x.xxx->ossec Rule: 501 fired (level 3) -> "New ossec agent connected." Portion of the log(s): ossec: Agent started: 'Michael->xxx.xx.x.xxx'. x's being the IP address. Is it possible to get the DNS name to show up for easier tracking and monitoring, or is the IP address the only thing possible right now. if so, what are the steps to going though this process. i will continue to scan for this function.
