That page, which I've been to before is like the rest of the OSSEC
documentation, sparse and not very clear. ;)
Please help us out, documentation is an on going effort that needs help
from the community. In the case of the wiki it is world editable and
monitored for spam, but just waiting for the community to take advantage
of it ;)
Is the Wiki the "Know how" pages? Are there any plans to change the
layout? I remember some discussions awhile back, but wasn't really
following them too closely.
Yes it starts with the "Know how" pages and includes a lot more.
We have started with the layout and format of areas. One of the key things
we are using now is categories to classify pages and the topics. An
example is Agents http://www.ossec.net/wiki/Category:Agents. This all the
pages that are related to working with agents. Another good place to start
is the list of categories: http://www.ossec.net/wiki/Special:Categories .
The process is not complete but something anyone can help with by just
adding the correct formatting to the bottom of a page. Example wiki
markup:
[[Category:know how]]
[[Category:know how::rules]]
[[Category:active response]]
Here is a list of pages that need to be categorized:

If you would like to help jump in and do so. Add what you think is
missing. Create topics and layout pages to help people find information
better. Write your own howto. Update the FAQ.
Happy wiki editing,
