I have, when I wanted to install an agent on a "hardened Linux" from a
vendor, and when I wanted to install on some of our self-hardened
systems. What I learned is that if the target is x64 then you should
build on an x64, but even more so if your target is x86 (32-bit) then
you need to build on a 32-bit. Kernel levels are important too; I had to
install a CentOS 4.x system to build one of my agent installs on (easily
done in this day of virtual systems) - it just wouldn't run if I built
it on a more current system.

I notice that the only Windows agent available is 32-bit. This should
run OK on 64-bit Windows systems but I do not yet have any agents
installed on 2008 Server or Win7.
