I have run tcpdump and could not find anything for the agent that I was trying
to reach but other servers showed up. Below is a copy of the iptables where I
set port 1514 and 514. Am I setting the iptables correctly?

-A INPUT -p udp -m udp --dport 514 -j ACCEPT
-A INPUT -p udp -m udp --dport 1514 -j ACCEPT

Hello,

I am new to OSSEC and I am working on my first installation. I am installing
the server under VMware Player 3.1.3 and Fedora 14. My PC that I am using for
the client is running Windows XP SP3. I have installed the required software
for both the server and the client but can't get the two to communicate.
Iptables has been configured on the Linux server. I can use SSH, SCP, FTP,
SFTP and telnet between the Windows client and the Linux server. The client
has been defined to the server along with the encrypted key. What am I missing
to get the server to see the client?
