I've been looking through the archives and I see that new 2.6 version has
"agent-auth" which allows one to automatically create and setup the agent keys.
The instructions for setting up the agents appears that "agent-auth" can only
be used for a Unix/Linux agent and not a Windows agent, is this correct?

I'm currently running server 2.5 and agents 2.5.1. If I install a 2.6 server
will my 2.5.1 agents still work properly or do I need to upgrade them to 2.6?

What I'm trying to do is package and deploy the OSSEC agent (along with OSSEC
server IP authentication key) to a number of Windows servers. I've been
following the instructions by Phil Shramko (http://philipshramko.blogspot.com/)
but I've been running into some issues with the packaged .msi file which I
created not installing on the target Windows machine. Get the following error
message:

CUSTOM ACTION "WrapInstall 1_I" FAILED (could not start it). LOCATION:
 C:\windows\Installer\MSI1384.tmp, COMMAND: /S

I was wondering if anyone has followed Phil's instructions and successfully
deployed an .msi file which included the OSSEC server IP and authentication
key.

Ideally I would have the .msi file packaged and then have the sysadmin deploy
it via GPO to the specific servers, but I'm looking for any alternatives as
well.

Thanks.
