Hello,
I'm new to OSSEC and somewhat inexperienced with Linux. I recently
installed OSSEC to help diagnose some problems we were having with our web
server. About every hour or so, I receive the following message:
OSSEC HIDS Notification.
2012 Jul 05 08:36:47
Received From: web2-svr->/var/log/messages
Rule: 1002 fired (level 2) -> "Unknown problem somewhere in the system."
Portion of the log(s):
Jul 5 08:36:46 web2-svr nscd: nss-ldap: do_open: do_start_tls
failed:stat=-1
--END OF NOTIFICATION
I have searched the Internet for the error "nss-ldap: do_open:
do_start_tls failed:stat=-1", but haven't been able to find anything that
has been able to help.
Has anyone else come across this error? Any ideas as to where I should look?
